KRISTOF WICKMAN: I’D GIVE ANYTHING FOR ANOTHER WHIFF
April 21 — May 12, 2013
Opening Reception — Sunday, April 21, 7PM
For immediate release
NOVELLA is pleased to present "I’d give anything for another whiff", a solo exhibition of recent work by Kristof Wickman. For his latest installation, Wickman borrows the language of commercial display as a stage for new sculpture. A site-specific carpeted platform runs the length of the gallery mimicking a photo sweep. This structure provides a forced perspective of the works on display, isolating moments of material compression and collision. Wickman will present objects informed by an interest in metonymic industrial design, food, and representations of the body.
