Over a year ago, I approached the poet John Yau and mentioned I was interested in sponsoring the publication of an artist book. Without missing a beat, John suggested collaborating with artist and fellow peer, Tom Burckhardt. The resulting book, “The Autumn Fields of a Young Art Handler”, in collaboration with the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, is now available. 

Burckhardt’s beautifully drawn imagery of the joys and struggles of art handling, juxtaposed with Yau’s sharp and witty text, becomes a catalyst for experiences that are by turns dark, hilarious and wonderfully weird.
